Southwest is celebrating its 46th birthday with a new airfare sale. Tickets are on sale now for as little as $39 one-way to destinations across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Availability varies depending on the route, but most sale prices are available on flights departing Monday through Thursday between August 22 and December 16. A word of warning to pet parents -- a highly contagious strain of canine influenza has made it's way to Texas. The Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory diagnosed two cases of dog flu in Texas in early June. The lab says the strain responsible, H3N2, is the same strain that infected several dogs in Florida and Georgia earlier this year. While rarely deadly, if left untreated it can progress to pneumonia and create potentially fatal complications. We've seen some pretty crazy stuff on Houston highways and this is no exception.An person was driving on Highway 290 near the Pinemont exit when he filmed a woman riding on the hood of a car. HOUSTON (KHOU) - The story about a single Houston dad struggling to pay for his three sons' insulin has touched hearts all over the country.  Business had been slow at Craig Boncler's northwest Harris County restaurant in recent months, but not Thursday.
