HOUSTON -- The man affiliated with popular Houston restaurants Ruggles Green and Ruggles Black has been accused of operating an illegal seafood network within the city. According to a Texas Parks & Wildlife press release, Bruce Molzan purchased and sold illegal finfish off the menus at Ruggles Green and Ruggles Black and profited more than $400,000.A two-year investigation revealed that the illegal network had been ongoing since at least 2013 and could be the largest of its kind in Texas history, game wardens say."The illegal catches were made by a web of about a dozen unlicensed commercial fishermen and sold...

AUSTIN -- Iconic action movie actor Chuck Norris, a native Oklahoman who has a ranch in Grimes County, was designated as an Honorary Texan on Tuesday by the state Senate. Norris and his wife, Gena, appeared in the Senate chamber for the award at the start of the upper chamber's daily session. AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A bill that would make carrying small amounts of marijuana a civil penalty in Texas instead of a criminal one is advancing in the state House. The House Criminal Jurisprudence committee on Monday approved a bill that would make possession of up to an ounce of marijuana punishable by a fine of up to $250 instead of a criminal charge. A person also could not be arrested solely for possession of the small amount of pot. A third violation would increase the fine to $500 as a Class C misdemeanor, though. The bill now advances to...
