In a conversation the other day, a friend of mine implied that he was single because he was too smart. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that it probably had more to do with the fact that he looks like the secret love child of Rick Moranis and a woodland creature. Alas, being single myself, I wondered to myself, “does being smart make it harder to find love?” In the end, I think it really does. I’m not saying that if you’re in love that you are stupid. Moses Malone Jr. has filed a lawsuit against James Harden alleging the Rockets star was responsible for “masterminding” a robbery against Malone, Isiah Carey of Houston’s Fox 26 reports.  Malone, the son of Hall of Famer and former Rockets center Moses Malone, was beaten and robbed of $15,000 to $50,000 in jewelry at a Houston strip club in June.  Malone’s suit alleges that Harden paid the robbers $20,000 to attack him after Harden became upset over Malone’s Facebook post about Harden’s basketball camp.  “The post basically referenced the fact that James Harden was charging $250 for a basketball camp,” Malone’s...

I don’t get it. Where did this affectation begin? Is this some bleedover from the gamer subculture? “wOOt!” “pWnEd!” I know every generation resorts to slang and obscurity to differentiate itself, so is this the new way for people who capitalize every other letter? Some digging has yielded the information that this practice is known as “Studlycaps” or “camel caps” From the Wikipedia: “According to the Jargon File “ThE oRigiN and SigNificaNce of thIs pRacTicE iS oBscuRe.” it appears to have been popularized among adolescent users during the BBS and early WWW eras of online culture, as a form of rebellion...
